CONDITIONS
The competition is open to all athletes who are members in good standing with their provincial, state or territorial association. The competition will be conducted under the official rules of Badminton Canada and the Badminton World Federation.
All Canadian players must have paid the Badminton Canada Champions Club fee to play.

Foreign players must show proof of membership or affiliiation with their national governing body to Badminton Canada prior to the entry deadline.

Any athletes not attending the opening reception are asked to register at the venue at least 1 hour before their first match.

EVENTS
Athletes are eligible by age as of the first day of competition (April 22, 2013).
Singles, doubles, and mixed doubles events will be offered in 35+ and every 5 year increment to a maximum of 80+.
Draws with consolation will be offered for events with 5 or more players/teams.
Round robin format will be used for any events with 3 or 4 players/teams.
Events with only 2 players/teams will be played as a final.
Athletes 65+ may enter a maximum of 5 events provided that 3 events are on their own age group.
Athletes 40-64 may enter a maximum of 4 events however all participants are restricted to a maximum of 2 events per discipline.
SHUTTLES
Official shuttle will be YONEX feather shuttle.
Shuttles will be provided for all matches
ENTRY FEE
$165.00 on-line payment is required at the time of on-line registration
ENTRY DEADLINE
The entry deadline is Monday March 25th 2013 at 11:59pm PST. Unpaid entries will not be included in the draws.
Badminton Canada will be utilizing the Badminton Tournament Planner software allowing athletes to enter on line.
LATE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Entries received via mail, fax or regular email will not be accepted.
PRIZES
Medals will be provided to event winners, finalists and winners of consolation draws.
Additional prizing will be provided during host committee organized events.
SEEDING
Seeding and draws will be delegated to a committee that is overseen by Badminton Canada.
RULES
The 21- Rally Point scoring format will be utilized. Three-minute warm-up and ten minute default will be strictly enforced.
The use of protective eyewear is strongly recommended during play.
HOTEL
A special group rate of $135/night for single to quadruple occupancy has been negotiated at 3 hotels.
You can walk from each hotel to the others in a matter of seconds as they share a parking lot.
