2013 Western Canadian Team Championship
INFORMATION AND TECHNICAL REGULATIONS
WHEN – January 11-13, 2013
VENUE – Riverside Badminton Club (Saskatoon)
ENTRY DEADLINE – Wednesday December 5th, 2012
COST - $450 per team (based on eight athletes and 1 coach) plus $50 each for additional athletes. Please make cheques to Saskatchewan Badminton association. The entry fee will include a team reception and tournament souvenir in addition to the competition.
ACCOMMODATION – The host hotel is the Ramada Hotel and Golf Dome. A tournament rate will be $119 plus taxes. Please quote Saskatchewan Badminton while making your reservation.
TRANSPORTATION – Ground transportation will not be provided.
FORMAT – Two Age Categories: Under 14 and Under 16. Each team will consist of a minimum of two boys and two girls in each age category. Round robin team competition will be utilized. Each tie will consist of a total of 14 matches: Two boys singles in each age group, Two girls singles in each age group, One boys doubles and One girls doubles in each age group, One mixed doubles in each age group.
SCHEDULE – Travel schedules should facilitate a 12pm start time on Friday, January 11th. Practice times will be available at 10 am. Travel schedules to return home should be made for around 3pm or later on January 13th.
