CONDITIONS:
The competition is open to all athletes born in 1998 or later (U16), or 1995 or later (U19), who are members in good standing with their provincial or territorial association. The competition will be conducted under the official rules of Badminton Canada and the Badminton World Federation.

Friday: Opening rounds 9:00am

EVENTS:
Events will be held in singles, doubles and mixed doubles for U16 and U19. Consolations will be held for all competitors defeated in their first round match of the main event (one game to 21 pts until semis). It will be the responsibility of each athlete to notify the draw desk, within 30-minutes of their opening round defeat. Doubles and mixed consolations held only if time permits.

SHUTTLES:
Official shuttle will be the Black Knight 6800 feather shuttle. Shuttles will be provided for all matches

ENTRY FEE:
$95.00 (includes shuttles, shirt). Online payment is required at time of online registration

ENTRY DEADLINE:
Badminton Canada will be utilizing the Badminton Tournament Planner software allowing athletes to enter on-line at the link

The entry deadline is Friday February 14 at 11:59 pm PST. Unpaid entries will not be included in the draws. LATE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Entries received via mail, fax or regular email will not be accepted.
Maximum of 100 entries per age group
BU16 & BU19 Singles – max of 56 players

PRIZES:
Medals will be awarded to the winners and finalists and semi-finalists of each main round event. Consolation winners will be awarded with Black Knight Merchandise.

SEEDING:
Will be provided by Badminton Canada tournament seeding committee

RULES:
The 21- Rally Point scoring format will be utilized. Three-minute warm-up and 10 minute default will be strictly enforced. The use of protective eyewear is strongly recommended during play.

CLOTHING:
White clothing is mandatory, including warm-ups

$135 + taxes per night, bases on double occupancy ($15/person for each extra person). Hot breakfast is complimentary, parking is not included
