Conditions: The competition is open to all athletes who are members in good standing with their provincial or territorial badminton association.
The competition will be conducted under the official rules of Badminton Canada and the Badminton World Federation.

Schedule:
Friday November 14th: Opening rounds start at 12:00pm (Noon).
Saturday November 15th: Continuation of play starting at 9:00am
Sunday November 16th: Finals start at 9:00am
Events: Open events will be held in singles, doubles and mixed doubles. Badminton Canada will be utilizing the Tournament Software online registration system.
Consolations will be held for all competitors defeated in their first round match of the main event. It will be the responsibility of each athlete to notify the draw desk, within 30-minutes of their opening round defeat.
Consolation rounds offered time permitting.
Entry Fee: (tournament & dinner event) The Entry Fee for this Open tournament is $115.00 per player (includes shuttles and one dinner ticket).
Payment is required at the time of on-line registration.
Each entry includes one (1) ticket for you to attend a 'smart casual' dinner at Vancouver Lawn on Saturday, November 15th, from 6:30pm - 8:30pm.
During the online registration process, you MUST confirm your attendance at the dinner to obtain your ticket. If you do NOT confirm your attendance at that time, then a dinner ticket will NOT be made available to you,
No ticket switches or exchanges will be permitted. You can confirm your attendance in the extra items section of your registration.
During the online registration process, you may also purchase up to four (4) guest ticket(s) for coaches, family members or guests.
Deadline: The tournament entry deadline is Friday October 31st, 2014 at 11:59pm EST. Unpaid entries will not be included in the draws.
LATE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Entries received via mail, fax or regular email will not be accepted. No changes permitted after entry deadline.
Prizes: $6,000.00 Minimum PRIZE MONEY. Prize money will be paid to the top four winners of each Open event. Many thanks to our local sponsors and to Badminton Canada for this support.
Seeding: Seeding for the Open events will be provided by Badminton Canada's tournament seeding committee.
Tournament Rules: The 21-Rally Point scoring format will be utilized.
Three-minute warm-up and ten minute default will be strictly enforced. The use of protective eyewear is strongly recommended during play.
Players are only permitted to wear WHITE clothing for both warm-up and competitive play.
Each individual clothing item can have a maximum of 10% non-white colour. This rule does not apply to court shoes, which can have colour.
Only texting is permitted on cell phones while on Club premises.

Shuttles: Official shuttle will be the YONEX AS 40 feather shuttle. Shuttles will be provided for all matches.

Competitions: Les competitions Ouvert seront jouees en simple, double et double mixte. Des consolations seront contestees par tous les competiteurs perdants de la premire ronde du tirage principal. C'est la responsabilite de chaque athlte d'informer le bureau du tirage, dans un d'lai de moins de 30 minutes apres leur perte.
Les jeux de consolations sont offertes seulement si le temps de jeu est disponible.
Volants: Les volants officiels seront le YONEX AS 40 volant a plume. Les volants seront fournis pour tous les matchs.
Frais d'Inscriptions: Competition Ouvert - 90.00$ (volants inclus). Les paiements par internet sont demandes quand on s'inscrit en-ligne

La date limite d'inscription est le vendredi, 2 novembre 2012 a 23:59h EST. Les droits non-payes ne seront pas inclus dans les tirages. LES ENTREES TARDIVES NE SERONT PAS ACCEPTƒES. Les entrees par courrier, faxe ou email ne seront pas acceptees.
Changements non autorisee apres la date limite d'entree
Prix et Bourses: 10,000$ minimum en bourse.
Une bourse sera payee aux 4 premiers de chaque competition Ouvert. Une division de la bourse sera fournie sur place.
Classement: Pour la competition Ouvert, fourni par le comite de classement de Badminton Canada
Pas de cellulaire dans le club. Le format de pointage 21- Rally Pointee sera utilise. Une periode d'echauffement de trois minutes et une periode de forfait de 10 minutes seront strictement gerees. Le port de lunettes protectrices en polycarbonate pendant le jeu est fortement recommande
Vetements: Des vtements et souliers tous blancs sont obligatoires
