CONDITIONS
The competition is open to all athletes who are members in good standing with their country, provincial, state or territorial association (please see “Player Registration” information at the bottom of these regulations). The competition will be conducted under the official rules of Badminton Canada and the Badminton World Federation.
Foreign players must show proof of membership or affiliation with their national governing body at the time of Registration. There will be an additional $25 fee for Non-Canadian association participants. For further information on this fee, please see the explanation at the bottom of these regulations.
CONDITIONS
Le tournoi est ouvert à tous les athlètes qui sont membres en règle de leur association provinciale, territoriale, d'état ou nationale (svp regardez l’information à propos du “Player Registration” au bas des regulations) . Le tournoi sera mène en vertu des règles officielles de Badminton Canada et de la Federation mondiale de Badminton.
Les joueurs étrangers doivent montrer une preuve d'adhésion ou d'affiliation avec leur organisme directeur du sport au moment de leur inscription. Il y aura un supplément de 25 $ pour les participants d’une association non canadienne. Pour plus d’informations à propos de ce supplement, svp continuez au bas des regulations.

EVENTS
Athletes are eligible by age as of the first day of competition (April 3, 2017).
Singles, doubles, and mixed doubles events will be offered in 40+ and every 5 year increment to a maximum of 85+. Singles, doubles, and mixed doubles events will be offered in 30+ at a 10 year increment to a maximum of 40+. Singles, doubles, and mixed doubles events will be offered in 85+ if there are 5 entries or more in that discipline.
Draws with consolation will be offered for events with 5 or more players/teams.
Round robin format will be used for any events with 3 or 4 players/teams.
Events with only 2 players/teams will be played as a final.
Athletes 65+ may enter a maximum of 5 events provided that 3 events are in their own age group.
Athletes 40-64 may enter a maximum of 4 events, provided at least one event is in their own age category.
Athletes 30-39 may enter a maximum of 3 events, all in their own age category.
Participants are restricted to a maximum of 2 events per discipline across any age category.
EPREUVES
Les athlètes sont admissibles en fonction de leur âge au premier jour du tournoi (3 avril, 2017).
Les épreuves de simple, de double et de double mixte seront offertes a partir de 40+ et a des intervalles de 5 ans jusqu'a la catégorie 85+. Les épreuves de simple, de double et de double mixte seront offertes a partir de 30+ a un intervalles de 10 ans jusqu'a la catégorie 40+. Les épreuves de simple, de double et de double mixte seront offertes a partir de 85+ si il y a au moin de 5 participant dans cheque epreuve.
Des feuilles de tirage avec consolation seront offertes pour les épreuves qui comptent au moins 5 joueurs ou équipes.
Le format par poules sera utilisé pour toute épreuve qui comptera 3 ou 4 joueurs ou équipes.
Les épreuves qui comptent que 2 joueurs ou équipes seront jouées comme étant une finale.
Les athlètes de 65 ans et + peuvent s'inscrire à un maximum de 5 épreuves, à condition que 3 de ces épreuves soient dans leur propre catégorie d’âge.
Les athlètes âges de 40 à 64 ans peuvent s'inscrire à un maximum de 4 épreuves, avec au moins 1 épreuve dans leur proper catégorie d’âge.
Les athlètes âges de 30 à 39 ans peuvent s'inscrire à un maximum de 3 épreuves, avec tous les épreuves dans leur proper catégorie d’âge.
Les participants sont limités à un maximum de 2 épreuves par discipline.
SHUTTLECOCKS
Official shuttles will be YONEX feather shuttle.
Shuttles will be provided for all matches
VOLANTS
Les volants officiels seront des volants de plume YONEX.
Les volants seront fournis pour tous les matchs.
ENTRY FEE
$205 on-line payment is required at the time of on-line registration (includes Opening Reception, Theme Night & Closing Banquet). Non-Canadian association participants will be charged an extra $25 fee for entering a tournament.
Additional social package for spouses or non-players (includes Sunday reception, Wednesday Dinner/Dance and Saturday Closing Banquet) $135 payable with player's entry fee.
DROITS D'INSCRIPTION
205 $ à payer en ligne au moment de l'inscription (comprend la réception d'ouverture, la soirée thématique et le banquet de fermeture). Les participants d’un association « non canadienne » seront facturés une frais supplémentaire de 25$ pour entrer dans le tournoi.
Des forfaits additionnels pour les activités sociales sont offerts pour les conjoints ou les non-participants (comprend la réception du dimanche, le souper dansant du venredi et le banquet de clôture du samedi) pour la somme de 135 $, a payer avec l'inscription du joueur.
ENTRY DEADLINE
The entry deadline is Friday, March 3rd, 2017 @ 11:59pm EST. Unpaid entries will not be included in the draws.
Badminton Canada is utilizing the Badminton Tournament Planner software which requires all athletes to enter on line.
LATE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Entries received via mail, fax or regular email will not be accepted.
DATE LIMITE D'INSCRIPTION
La date limite d'inscription est le vendredi 3 mars 2017 @ 23h59 EST. Les inscriptions non payées ne seront pas incluses dans les feuilles de tirage.

LES INSCRIPTIONS EN RETARD NE SERONT PAS ACCEPTEES. Les inscriptions reçues par la poste, par télécopieur ou par courriel ne seront pas acceptées.
WITHDRAWAL POLICY
Refunds are provided less a 20% administration fee to entrants who withdraw prior to the entry deadline of the event. After the deadline, but prior to the draws being made, refunds are provided less a 50% administrative fee. Refunds will not be provided after the draws are made.
Full refunds will be made for injuries that make it impossible for an athlete to compete provided documentation from a doctor is provided.
POLITIQUE D'ANNULATION
Les remboursements sont fournis, a l'exception de frais d'administration de 20 %, pour les athlètes qui annulent leur inscription avant la date limite d'inscription au tournoi. Après la date limite, mais avant que les feuilles de tirage soient faites, les remboursements sont fournis, a l'exception de frais d'administration de 50 %. Les remboursements ne seront pas possibles une fois les feuilles de tirage terminées. Un remboursement complet sera effectué en cas de blessure qui empoche l'athlète de participer, avec preuve documentaire du médecin traitant.
PRIZES
Medals will be provided to event winners, finalists and winners of consolation draws.
PRIX
Des médailles seront fournies aux gagnants et aux finalistes de chaque épreuve, ainsi qu'aux gagnants des tableaux de consolation.
SEEDING
Seeding and draws will be delegated to a masters seeding committee that is overseen by Badminton Canada.
FAVORIS

RULES
The 21-Rally Point scoring format will be utilized. Two-minute warm-up and ten minute default will be strictly enforced.
The use of protective eyewear is strongly recommended during play.
REGLES

SHUTTLE SERVICE
A shuttle bus will be provided from the host hotel only. If not staying at the host hotel, players must find their own transportation to venue.
Parking at Red River College is limited and on a first-come first serve basis at a rate of $2/hour 8AM-5PM and free on weekends.
SERVICE DE NAVETTE

WAIVER OF RIGHTS
I hereby, for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators, waive and release any and all claims for damages I may have against Badminton Canada, any of its member organizations, the host venue, and their respective agents, members of staff, for any and all injuries which may be suffered by me, through accident or negligence, in conjunction with my competition and attendance at all related activities of this event. I accept the above terms from the time of online entry until the completion of the tournament.
PLAYER REGISTRATION
Badminton Canada requires that all players meet three requirements before tournament registration will be permitted.-
1. All players must have a valid Player ID
2. All players must have an active and confirmed account within the Badminton Canada domain
3. All players must have a valid 2016-2017 Membership
There are different steps to register based on whether you are a Canadian player or Non-Canadian “International” player and whether you will play any other competitions this season-
1- Canadian Players-
Need a “National” level membership from their home province through a Badminton Canada account, not a generic Tournament Software account
2- Non-Canadian players who regularly play tournaments within Canada-
Need a “National” level membership from their home province through a Badminton Canada account, not their international Tournament Software account.
3- Non-Canadian player who only play the Canadian National Masters Championship-
Badminton Canada has created a special membership category entitled “International Player” to permit these players to meet the tournament registration requirements. The Badminton Canada International Player Membership is specifically designed to ensure that out of country players are able to register for the Canadian National Masters Championships.
To purchase an International Membership a player should meet the following criteria:
a. Be 30 years old or older on January 1, the year of the Canadian National Masters Championship in which they wish to play.
b. Do not have an existing membership from any province within Canada
c. Reside outside of Canada
d. Do not intend to play any additional tournaments in Canada during the year.
