TOURNAMENT FEE
Tournament Entry Fee of $235.00 (required at time of on-line registration) includes:
-All Transportation for 7 days for all players and guests to the venue and both host hotels

All entries will need to be approved by the player’s Provincial Association.

EVENTS
Events will be held in singles, doubles and mixed doubles for U15, U17, U19, and U23 age categories.
Consolations will be held for all competitors defeated in their first round match of the main event. It will be the responsibility of each athlete to notify the draw desk, within 30-minutes of their opening round defeat.
Consolation rounds offered time permitting.
EPREUVES
Les épreuves en simple, double et double mixte pour les catégories M15, M17, M19, et M23.
Consolations seront organisées pour tous les participants vaincus dans leur match de la première ronde de l'événement principal. Ce sera la responsabilité de chaque athlète d'informer le bureau de tirage, dans les 30 minutes de leur ouverture défaite ronde.
Rondes de consolation offertes selon si le temps le permet.
TOURNAMENT RULES
The 21-Rally Point scoring format will be utilized.
Three-minute warm-up and ten-minute default will be strictly enforced. The use of protective eyewear is strongly recommended during play.

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
The competition is open to athletes born in 2003 or later (U15), 2001 or later (U17), 1999 or later (U19), and 1995 or later (U23).
1) Athletes must be a Canadian citizen (verifiable by passport or birth certificate) or be a landed immigrant and have been a permanent resident of Canada for a minimum of 365 days (verifiable by permanent resident card)
2) Must not have played in any badminton championships restricted to another country within one calendar year of the date of the event; and
3) Have played or be registered to play in a Provincial/Territorial Championship prior to the National Championship.
4) Be a registered member in good standing with their provincial or territorial association
CONDITIONS DE PARTICIPATION

REFUNDS
Refunds are provided to participants, less a 25% administration fee, who withdraw prior to the entry deadline of the competition. After the entry deadline, but before the draws are made, refunds are provided les a 50% administration fee. Refunds will not be provided for withdrawals after the draws have been made.
REMBOURSEMENT
Les remboursements sont fournis aux participants, moins les frais d'administration de 25%, qui se retirent avant la date limite d'inscription à la compétition. COACH CERTIFICATION
Deadline for registration as a coach is April 21st, 2017. All coaches must comply with the Badminton Canada Coaching Certification Policy. You can find the policy here-http://www.badminton.ca/page/31585/Policies.
Coaches who have already received a Badminton Canada championships accreditation for 2017 are not required to re-submit their registration application

University De Moncton Campus Residence – MEDARD COLLETTE BUILDING

For Players aged 19-22 years of age. Players younger than 19 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to reserve a suite in the Medard Collette
There are 20 two-bed suites blocked (40 beds)
$80 per suite per night ($40 per person)
Each suite has two locking bedroom doors, one shower, one bathroom as well as a full size fridge, sink and small kitchen eating area.
The Medard Collette residence is a one minute walk to the cafeteria and a 3 minute walk to the Badminton Venue.

I hereby, for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators, waive and release any and all claims for damages I may have against Badminton Canada, any of its member organizations, the host venue, and their respective agents, members of staff, for any and all injuries which may be suffered by me, through accident or negligence, in conjunction with my competition and attendance at all related activities of this event. Adult VIP Tournament Table Passes-$80-Includes VIP tournament pass with Upper and lower level access. The lower level access with a round table on main floor very close to the courts(10 feet from the back)-If you have Children under 16 (not entered in the tournament) a seat can be provided free of charge at the VIP tables. If you book a table for yourself only you may be required to share your table with other VIP ticket holders. All persons sitting at the tables must have purchased a VIP tournament Pass for $80.

Full week meal plans will be available at the University Cafeteria for all athletes, parents and coaches who wish to purchase one. The University cafeteria is a two minute walk from the Badminton Venue.
All Meals need to be pre-ordered so we know how much food to prepare each day. The one week full meal menu will be sent at a later date to all members of badminton Canada.
