CONDITIONS
The tournament is open to athletes born in 1999 or later (U14), 1997 or later (U16), 1994 or later (U19), or 1990 or later (U23) who are members in good standing of a provincial or territorial badminton association that is affiliated with Badminton Canada and have paid the Badminton Canada Champions Club fee to play. The Champions Club fee can be paid at the time of entry or by going to the following link:

The tournament will be conducted under the official rules of Badminton Canada and the Badminton World Federation.
ELIGIBILITY
As per Badminton Canada regulations; for any Canadian National Championships, all athletes must:
4.1.2 be members in good standing with a Member Association of Badminton Canada, as confirmed by the Member Association;
4.1.3 be a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant;
4.1.4 have main residency in Canada for the 12 months preceding the championship, (this requires a permanent address in Canada but permits a player to train out of Country for limited periods) and;
4.1.5 not have played in any badminton championship restricted to another country within that time frame;
4.3 waiver forms, included with entry forms for minors, must be signed by a parent or guardian.
ENTRY FEE
The entry fee of $95.00 per competitor must be made with the use of a credit card at the time of on-line registration.
Cost of banquet is $25.00 per competitor, can be paid at the time of online entry or at registration.
Athletes under the age of 18 years must print off a waiver form and present it at the time of in-person registration at the venue.
ENTRY DEADLINE
On-line entry and payment must be received by Badminton Canada no later than April 5th, 2013. Entries received without payment will not be processed.
COACHING
All coaches must have a minimum of full NCCP level 1 certification to be allowed onto the field of play and sit in the designated coaching chairs. Coaches must also have registered for the Badminton Canada Champions Club at: http://badmintoncanada.tournamentsoftware.com/sport/tournament.aspx?id=757C857F-104A-46F4-BF86-3CFAC1DED698 prior to the start of the event in order to be eligible to receive accreditation.
All accredited coaches will receive free admission to the venue for the duration of the event. Coaches without accreditation will not be allowed onto the field of play and will have to pay for admission to the venue. In addition, Athletes that are not NCCP Level 1 certified or have not registered for a coach accreditation will not be permitted to coach during the event.

TRANSPORTATION
Transportation from the airport will no be provided, participants are suggested to take a taxi from the airport to the hotel which an approximate cost of $15.00
EYEWEAR
The use of polycarbonate safety eyewear is strongly recommended.
EVENTS
Singles, doubles and mixed doubles. Players may enter only one singles, one doubles and one mixed doubles event, regardless of age category. Consolation events will be held for all first match losers. It is the player’s responsibility to enter the consolation events, immediately following their round loss.

SEEDING & DRAWS
Seeding will be done by Badminton Canada’s Seeding Committee and draws according to the Canadian regulations.

Saturday May 4th - 11am Finals followed by banquet dinner at 7:30pm
