Badminton Canada is thrilled with the development and talent of our top players in Canada. With goals set for the upcoming Commonwealth Games in the spring of 2018, and looking further to the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, we are confident our Canadian National Team members have the passion and talent necessary to bring Canada to the highest level of Badminton.
With all of our Canadian National Team members receiving funding from the Government of Canada Athlete Assistance Program (AAP) for the 2017-18 season, our athletes are receiving great support from our government partners.
“I am so pleased that all of our 8 athletes on the Senior National Team qualified for the Athlete Assistance Program” said Head Coach, Mike Butler. “I am looking forward to working with fellow coaches and high-performance staff to help our athletes reach the highest level, and support them on their journey to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and beyond.”
Congratulations and good luck to all of our selected National Team athletes. For biographies on each National Team Athlete, please follow the link below: http://www.badminton.ca/page/28193/Yonex-Canadian-National-Team-201718
