The Alberta Sport Connection (ASC) has accepted and approved Badminton Alberta`s application, badminton will be contested at the 2016 Alberta Winter Games, to be hosted in the City of Medicine Hat from February 13-16.
Badminton Alberta will be approving our sport development plan at a future director`s meeting at which time the contents will be shared with each of the eight identified zones, pertaining to zone development clinics and zone team selection dates.
Once again the badminton component will target athletes in the u17 age category (LTAD - Training to Train). A combination of individual and team events will be contested over the three days of the Games.
Coaches interested in the Games, must be fully at Level One.
