The Talisman Centre summer camp scheduled for July 2-5 has been cancelled due to flooding.
Designed to provide athletes the opportunity to develop badminton skills in a fun and safe environment. According to the Long Term Athlete Development Model, participants will be divided into groups based on ability. Athletes will learn the fundamentals of badminton including grip, overhead stroke technique, movement, strategy and tactics by participating in drills and games.
A $10.00 Badminton Alberta membership fee is required in addition to registration for those without a current Badminton Alberta Membership.
Cost: $180 for Talisman members / $220 for non-Talisman members
Times: Mon-Fri from 8:30am-4:30pm

What do participants need to bring when they come to camp?
All participants must bring:
a peanut-free lunch and snacks
water bottle
gym appropriate clothing
non-marking, indoor running shoes
swimsuit and towel
Sport specific camps may require participants to bring additional equipment (e.g. badminton racquet) that will be specified in their information letter upon registration.
What forms do I need to fill out for my child to participate in Sport Camps?
There are 4 different forms that will be sent to you upon registration in camps:

Image Release/Sign Out Permission & Field Trip Permission Form
Waiver Form (To be signed in front of witness upon check-in)
Do I need to fill out forms for each camp that my child participates in?
You will need to fill out forms once for the summer unless any information changes.
Do I need to register for pre-care and post-care?
You do not need to register for pre care and post care as it is complimentary. Just sign in your child for pre care anytime between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. and sign out your child by 5:30 p.m.
Please Note: There is a late fee of $1.00 per child per every minute you are late picking up your child after 5:30 p.m.
Is there a lunch program available at the Talisman Centre during camps?
During the 2012 Summer Sport Camps there will be no lunch program. Participants must bring their own peanut-free lunch for full day camps.
What is the Supervised Lunch?
If your child is registered in both a morning and an afternoon half-day camp, a supervised lunch option is available to make your child's camp experience a full-day. You MUST also register for the Supervised Lunch. Please note, food will not be provided.
