ELIGIBILITY
Participants must fulfill each of the criteria below to be eligible to compete in the qualifier.
• All participants must be Canadian citizens
• Must be 12 years old or younger on December 31st 2019
• Must be a member in good standing with their respective Provincial/Territorial Badminton Association

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
Competition is open to athletes born in 2007 or later (U13) and 2009 or later (U11). All participants in Badminton Canada qualification tournaments must be a member of their provincial/territorial association and be eligible to compete in national level events and provide their member ID upon online registration.
The registration fee to become a member will be an annual fee (Sept 1st-August 31st) and you must be a registered member in good standing with a BCan provincial membership organization in order to be a registered member of Badminton Canada.
The maximum number of entrants per event is the following:
U11BS (32), U11GS (32), U11XD(32), U11BD(24), U11GD(24), U13BS (32), U13GS (32), U13XD(32), U13BD(24), U13GD(24).
*Doubles partners who are name but not registered will not be included in the tournament.
*Partner Requests will not be accepted for this event, athletes must register with a partner in order to be entered into the event
Players who are competing in both the 2019 Yonex U11/U13 JNDT Qualifier and the U23&Junior National Championships must pay both tournament entry fees and must adhere to both regulations. The Default and Failure to complete match policy will be in effect; withdrawing from one event/tournament may result in being withdrawn from both tournaments. Please be aware that conflicting match times may be a possibility.
CONDITIONS DE PARTICIPATION
La compétition est ouverte pour les athlètes nées 2007 et après (U13) et 2009 et après (U11). Tous les participants dans les tournois de Badminton Canada doivent être membres de leur provinces, admissible aux compétitions du niveau national et donner leur ID de membre au moment de s’enregistrer en ligne.
Les frais d'inscription pour devenir membre sera frais annuelle (de 1 septembre-31 Août) et vous devez être un membre inscrit et en règle avec une organisation provinciale de Badminton Canada afin d'être un membre inscrit de Badminton Canada.
Le nombre maximum de participants est :
U11GS (32), U11FS (32), U11XD (32), U11GD (24), U11FD (24), U13GS (32), U13FS (32), U13XD (32), U13GD (24), U13FD (24).
* Les partenaires en double nommés mais non-inscrits ne seront pas inclus dans le tournoi.
* Les demandes de partenaires ne seront pas acceptées pour cet événement. Les athlètes doivent s'inscrire avec partenaire pour pouvoir participer à l'événement.
Les joueurs qui participent aux qualifications du JNDT Yonex U11 / U13 2019 et aux championnats nationaux juniors et U23 doivent s'acquitter des frais d'inscription et se conformer aux deux règlements. Les politiques seront en vigueur; se retirer d'un événement / tournoi peuvent cause son retrait des deux tournois. Notez que des temps de match en conflit peuvent être possibles.
EVENTS
Events will be held in singles, doubles and mixed doubles for U11 and U13 age categories. Badminton Canada will be utilizing the Tournament Software online registration system.
There will be preliminary round pool play and then elimination round brackets for athletes advancing out of the pools. Consolations will not be held.

Les épreuves en simple, double et double mixte pour les catégories U11 et U13. Badminton Canada utilisera le système d'inscription en ligne du Tournament Software.

SEEDING & DRAWS
Athletes will be placed in groups for Pool Play at random. The top 2 athletes of each pool will make it to the elimination draw.
No consolation matches will be played

TOURNAMENT RULES
The 21-Rally Point scoring format will be utilized. Two-minute warm-up and ten-minute default will be strictly enforced. The use of protective eyewear is strongly recommended during play.
*Please note that no matches during pool play will be umpired.

REFUNDS
Refunds are provided to participants, less a 25% administration fee, who withdraw prior to the entry deadline of the competition. After the entry deadline, but before the draws are made, refunds are provided les a 50% administration fee. Refunds will not be provided for withdrawals after the draws have been made.
REMBOURSEMENT
Les remboursements sont fournis aux participants, moins les frais d'administration de 25%, qui se retirent avant la date limite d'inscription à la compétition. Après la date limite d'inscription, mais avant les tirages sont faits, les remboursements sont prévus les frais d'administration de 50%. COACH CERTIFICATION
All coaches must comply with the Badminton Canada Coaching Certification Policy. A minimum certification of Competition Introduction – Provincial Trained is required.
