The Badminton Academy Youth Programs - SPRING 2017
Badminton Alberta offers a number of 2017 SPRING program choices in the Calgary area for youth aged 6-17 years of age interested in pursuing badminton.
Group lessons are available Monday through Friday evenings at numerous school gyms throughout the City of Calgary and Saturday mornings at the University of Calgary.
The Calgary Youth Program recieves financial support from Badminton Calgary and Yonex Canada Ltd.

Registration is available on-line through the following link. Any questions can be addressed to Badminton Alberta staff by calling 403.297-2722 and quoting the course number specific to the time and venue of the program you are interested in. Registration for programs in the WINTER 2017 will begin November 22 at 1:00pm MST.
The Badminton Academy - U of C
Badminton Alberta is excited to announce that they will also be offering badminton instruction for youth (6 to 17 yrs) through the Saturday morning lesson program at the University of Calgary. The 7-week SPRING 2017 program will commence May6 and conclude on June 24. (There will be no classes on May 20). For additional information contact Badminton Alberta at 403.297-2722. The Badminton Academy - Elite Training
The Badminton Academy also provides identified junior aged athletes the opportunity to train full time throughout the fall/winter/spring sessions.
Through the use of a talent identification process, Calgary Youth program coaches make recommendations and present the opportunity for athletes to recieve additional weekly training.
Selected athletes must make the commitment to attend all training sessions and participate in selected junior tournaments. Fees will not be pro-rated for classes missed.
At least three elite training groups will be formed: Elite at Mount Royal University & Elite at the University of Calgary. Cost of $20 for the trials is payable at time of on-line registration.
Badminton Alberta will hold try-outs on September 10th at Mount Royal University, Stanley Gymnasium from 8:30am-1pm. Athletes will be placed into training groups based on the on-court assessment. For additional information and to register on-line.
