CONDITIONS - The competition is open to Badminton Alberta members, or athletes who are members in good standing with their provincial or territorial association. The competition will be conducted under the official rules of Badminton Canada and the Badminton World Federation.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS - Friday, 10:00 AM – Registration & Opening rounds of singles, doubles and mixed. Saturday - 9:00 AM - Continuation of play, Sunday - 9:00 AM - Continuation of play. Sunday - 10:00 AM – Finals begin.
SCHEDULE OF PLAY - Friday matches commence at 10:00 AM on September 10, 2010. Up-to-date results and tournament info can also be found at
EVENTS - Events will be held in singles, doubles and mixed doubles. Consolations will be held for all competitors defeated in their first round match of the main event. It will be the responsibility of each athlete to notify the draw desk, within 30-minutes of their opening round defeat. Consolation rounds offered time permitting.
SHUTTLES - The official shuttle will be the YONEX AS 40 feather shuttle. Shuttles will be provided for all matches.
ENTRY FEE - $85.00 + GST (Includes shuttles, Saturday evening meal, and prizes for consolation winners). On-line payment is requested at the time of on-line registration.
ENTRY DEADLINE - Badminton Canada will be utilizing the Badminton Tournament Planner software allowing athletes to enter on-line at http://www.badminton.ca

The entry deadline is Friday October 29th, 2010 at 11:59 pm EST. Unpaid entries will not be included in the draws. LATE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Entries received via mail, fax or regular email will not be accepted.
PRIZES - $6,000 minimum prize purse. Prize money will be paid to the top three placing in each event. A detailed prize purse breakdown will be provided on-site. Merchandise prizes will be distributed to the winners of the consolation events.
SEEDING –Provided by Badminton Canada tournament seeding committee.
RULES –The 21- Rally Point scoring format will be utilized. Three-minute warm-up and ten minute default will be strictly enforced. The use of protective eyewear is strongly recommended during play.
