SEEDING: Badminton Canada is responsible for the seeding of this event.
CONDITIONS: The tournament is open to athletes under 16 (born in 1994 or later) and under 19 (born in 1991 or later), who are members in good standing with a member association of Badminton Canada. The tournament will be conducted under the official rules of Badminton Canada and the Badminton World Federation.
ENTRY FEE: The entry fee payment of $75.00 per competitor must be made online by credit card.

TRANSPORTATION: Please note the VLTBC requires 90% white attire on each article of clothing including warm ups. Any colour of shoe is acceptable however, black sole shoes are NOT allowed as they mark the floor. Cell phones are not permitted at VLTBC.
CLOTHING: White attire including warm ups is required at VLTBC
SHUTTLES: The official shuttle for Badminton Canada Elite series event is the Black Knight 6800. Shuttles will be provided.
EYEWEAR: The use of polycarbonate safety eyewear is strongly recommended.
EVENTS: Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles. Players may only enter one singles, one doubles and one mixed doubles event. Consolation events will be held for all first round losers time permitting. It is the player’s responsibility to enter the consolation events.
COACHING POLICY: Badminton Canada will vary from BWF coaching rules in events involving the following athletes (Under 19 / 16 / 14). During the two minute interval between games coaching will be available to athletes. Coaching from the back of the court and coaching at the 11 point break in all games will not be allowed.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: Draw times will be available on the Badminton Canada and Badminton BC websites. Schedule is subject to change. Registration starts at 9 am Friday March 12, 2010.
On court warm-up time will be 3 minutes
Default time will be 10 minutes.
Players must report to starter's desk 20 minutes before their match.
