Conditions. The tournament will be conducted under the official rules of Badminton Canada and the Badminton World Federation.
Rules: The 2 minute break between the first and second game will not be allowed prior to the semi-final round. Ten-minute default and three minute warm-up rules will be in effect.
Events: Singles, Doubles & Mixed Doubles. Players may enter one singles, one doubles and one mixed event. Play begins at 5:00 pm Friday with all doubles events, followed Saturday 9:00 am with singles, and Sunday 9:00 am for mixed. Finals will follow the mixed event. For your convenience, approved draws will be post on Badminton Alberta On-Line at www.badmintonalberta.ca
Format: Main draw with consolation events for all those defeated in their first round match (time permitting)
Seedings: Draws prepared according to the latest Badminton Alberta rankings.
Entry Fee: The entry fee of $45.00 for one event or $60.00 for up to 3 events(includes GST) is payable at the time of registration .
On-line entry only: You must enter on-line by visiting www.badmintonalberta.ca. Be sure to let your club coach know that you have entered and who your partners are.
Entry Deadline: The entry deadline is December 1 at 11:59pm MST.
Shuttles: Victor Champion shuttles will be supplied for all matches.
Clothing: White tops are mandatory. Colored warm-ups, shorts and skirts are allowed. The use of protective eyewear is strongly recommended during play.
