Competition Dates: 26-27-28 February 2010
Venue: Derrick Golf & Winter Club, 3500 - 119 Street, Edmonton
Prizes: Awarded to event winners, runners up and consolation winners.
Conditions: The tournament is open to athletes born in 1998 or later (u12), and 1996 or later (u14). Alberta athletes must be competitive members in good standing with Badminton Alberta.
Entry Fee: $52.50 for u12 or u14. Register On-Line at www.badmintonalberta.ca. Fee includes tournament souvenir (limit one long sleeve dry-fit shirt per player per season), prizes and shuttles. BA membership is required at $34.75 for all non-members.
Entry Deadline: February 17th. at midnight MST.
Clothing: 'Colored' clothing and indoor footwear will be allowed. Protective eyewear is strongly recommended.
Shuttles: Yonex Mavis 300 (u12) Yonex Aerosena 40 feather (u14).
Events: Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles. Players may enter one singles, one doubles, and one mixed doubles. A-B-C-D waterfall drop down draw type will be used for all singles events, with main draw and consolations (time permitting) in all doubles events.
Draw Times: Available Wednesday, February 24th. at 1:00 pm. On court warm up: 3 minutes. Default time: 10 minutes
Scoring: Current BWF Rally Point scoring system will be used. Coaching as per Badminton Alberta Coaching policy.
Schedule: Tournament will begin Friday, February 27th. at 2:00pm with u12 singles, u14 singles to begin at 6:00pm. Subject to change.
Tournament Hotel: The Sutton Place Hotel, 10235 - 101 Street, Edmonton, T5J 3E9. Preferred Badminton Alberta rate of $92+tax. Ask for the Badminton Alberta rate when making your reservations for selected tournament dates.
