Date: 26-27-28 March 2010
Venue: Edison Badminton Centre, Box 2, Site 11, RR2, Okotoks (Located 1/2 mile north of Okotoks Honda)
Prizes: Awarded to event winners, finalists & consolation event winners only.
Conditions: The tournament is open to athletes born in 1998 or later (u12), and in 1994 or later (u16) who are 2009-10 COMPETITIVE members in good standing of Badminton Alberta. The tournament will be conducted under the official rules of Badminton Canada and the Badminton World Federation.
Rules: Prior to the semi-finals, the two minute break between games will be allowed but without coaching support. The 60 second break at 11 points will be allowed but without coaching support. Coaching will be permitted between the second and third games only in all matches provided the player does not leave the court. Coaching from beside the court during the match will not be allowed at any time. Three minute warm-up rules will be in effect. Default decisions will be made at the discretion of the tournament director. The tournament will be conducted under the official rules of Badminton Canada and the Badminton World Federation. Age Category: u12 (born in 1998 or later); u16 (born in 1994 or later)
Events: Singles, Doubles & Mixed Doubles. Players may enter one singles, one doubles and one mixed event. Play begins at 4:00 pm Friday with u12 singles, followed with u16 singles at 6:00 pm. For your convenience, approved draws will be post on Badminton Alberta On-Line at
www.badmintonalberta.ca
Format: Single elimination with consolation draws (time permitting).
Seedings: Draws prepared according to the latest Badminton Alberta rankings.
Entry Fee: The entry fee of $60 (includes GST) is payable at the time of registration via credit card or PayPal account.

Entry Deadline: The entry deadline is 17 March at midnight MST.
Shuttles: Yonex Mavis nylon shuttles will be supplied for u12, while Yonex Areosena feather shuttles will be supplied for all u16 matches.
Clothing: Appropriate badminton clothing is mandatory. The use of protective eyewear is strongly recommended during play.
