Prizes: Awarded to event winners, runners up and consolation winners.
Conditions: The tournament is open to athletes born in 1994 or later (u19), 1997 or later (u16), 1999 or later (u14), and 2001 or later (u12). Alberta athletes must be competitive members in good standing with Badminton Alberta. BA membership is required at $38.10 for athletes 14 years & under and $40.00 for all athletes 15 years & older. Athletes must be eligible to contest Junior B events - please see explanation below.
Entry Fee: $52.50 for all age categories. Register On-Line at www.badmintonalberta.ca. Fee includes tournament souvenir, prizes and feather shuttles. Non-members must obtain their Badminton Alberta ID number prior to registering for the tournament, as this number is required to complete the on-line registration.
Entry Deadline: Wednesday, Feb 27th. at 17:59 pm. MST.
Clothing: 'Colored' clothing and indoor (non-marking) footwear will be allowed. Protective eyewear is strongly recommended.
Shuttles: Yonex feather shuttles will be supplied for all matches.
Events: Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles. Players may enter one singles, one doubles, and one mixed doubles. Singles will use round robin groups with winners advancing to a single elimination draw. Single elimination draw type with consolations (time permitting) in all doubles events.
Draw Times: Available Wednesday, March 6th. at 1:00 pm. On court warm up: 3 minutes. Default time: 10 minutes
Scoring: Current BWF Rally Point scoring system will be used. Coaching as per Badminton Alberta coaching policy.
Schedule: Tournament will begin Friday, March 8th. at 5:00pm with u12/u14 singles, u16/u19 singles at 7:00pm. Start times are subject to change. All doubles to begin Saturday at 9:00am.
