Badminton Alberta is offering Child & Youth summer camps being held at Mount Royal University, for ages 8-17 who are interested in pursuing badminton under the umbrella of "The Badminton Academy".
Calgary Youth Programs - Badminton Alberta
As part of the Badminton Alberta's Calgary Youth Program - The Badminton Academy provides a high quality instructional class for children and youths that are keen to learn the foundational skills of the sport.
- CHILD Lesson (8-12 years of age)
- YOUTH Lessons (13-17 years of age)
The Badminton Academy Week 1 summer 5-day camp will be held at Mount Royal University from Monday, July 28 - Friday, August 1, 2025. The camp will feature instruction suitable for ages 8 - 17 years.
Child summer camp information: includes exposure to basic grip, overhead/underhand strokes combined with various footwork patterns. Children will develop and improve their fundamental movement skills through sport specific drills and exercises. Children will learn rules and etiquette of the sport as well as introductory applications and modified games. The child summer camp is lead by NCCP certified coaches.

- Days: Monday - Friday- 5 day camp.
- Times: 4:00pm - 5:30pm.
- Cost: $225.00

Online Registration for Child & Youth SUMMER CAMPS 2025
Youth summer camp information: will review technical skills with introduction into baseline drills. Integration of tactical intent while reviewing stroking skills. Introduction to match play. A focus on tactical scenario's through modified/full structure games all reliant to the athlete's ability. This program is lead by NCCP certified coaches.
- Location: Mount Royal University (Stanley Gymnasium), 4825 Mount Royal Gate SW, Calgary
- Ages 13-17 years.
- Days: Monday - Friday- 5 day camp.
- Times: 5:45pm - 8:00pm.
- Exception: Wednesday July 30 - Early Dismissal at 7:00pm. due to previously booked University event.
- Cost: $250.00+ (GST will be added at check-out).
