Badminton Academy - Child & Youth Programs- Fall 2026 at Mount Royal University

Badminton Alberta is pleased to announce it will continue to offer badminton instructional classes at Mount Royal University in Calgary on Saturday mornings for child & youth badminton lessons.

Badminton Alberta will offer 13-weeks of lessons in the Fall 2026 session, covering three age categories for players ages 8-17 years:

• Class A - 8-10 years of ageChild (60 minutes from 8:30am-9:30am) $292.50 - 13-week session.
• Class B - 11-13 years of age Youth (80 minutes from 8:30am-9:50am) $315.25 - 13-week session.
• Class C - 14-17 years of age Youth (80 minutes from 10:00am-11:20pm) $315.25 + ($15.76 GST will be added at checkout) - 13 week session.

This program is a fun way to develop proper technique, tactics and more while learning about the game of badminton.  It meets the needs of players from beginner to competitive.  Each level is a progression from the previous level.  Class sizes are small and grouped according to age, it is expected that each class will have various skill levels and knowledge of badminton. Each practice consists of instruction and if time permitted followed by match play in a fun, ladder format.  The last lesson of the Winter session will consist of fun tournament style class that will run for each groups A, B & C. We will keep the same scheduled times for all ages groups as the lessons. All players are encouraged to attend this fun day of badminton. 

Saturday: September 12, 19, 26, Ocotber 3, 17, 24, 31, November 7, 14, 21, 28, December 5, 12, 2026. (No scheduled lessons on October 10, 2026).

Refund/Withdrawal/Transfer Deadline Policy: is 5 business days prior to the badminton lesson start date and is subject to a $25 admin. fee. No Refunds/Withdrawals or Transfers on or after the start date.
