David Humble is a former Olympian and current badminton professional at the Calgary Winter Club, and he has bveen selected to run with the Olympic Torch on Monday, January 18th at approximately 5:50pm. For anyone that wants to come watch and cheer David run with the Olympic Torch here are the details.
HUMBLE’S OLYMPIC TORCH RELAY
David will run along 25th Avenue SE (directly south of Stampede Park) starting at the east end of the guard rail and travelling west towards Macleod Trail. David will run for approximately 300 meters, ending at 3rd Street East (the set of lights which has access to the Stampede grounds, just before Macleod Tr.) Look for the City of Calgary Water Works Building on the south side of the road.
David will finish his run just beside the Erlton Stampede C-train station.
David’s Torchbearer number is OTR081-131…… look for this number on a bright orange route marker that will be placed at the start of the relay segment.
