CONDITIONS: - The competition is open to all athletes who are members in good standing with their provincial or territorial association. The competition will be conducted under the official rules of Badminton Canada and the Badminton World Federation.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS – Friday, 10:00 AM – Registration, Noon – Opening rounds of singles, doubles and mixed. Saturday – 9:00 AM – Continuation of play. Sunday – 9:00 AM Continuation of play. Sunday 10:00 AM – Finals begin
SCHEDULE OF PLAY – Friday matches commence at 10:00 AM on October 9, 2009. Up to date results and tournament info can also be found www.saskbadminton.ca
EVENTS – Events will be held in singles, doubles and mixed doubles. Consolation will be held for all competitors defeated in their first round match of the main event. It will be the responsibility of each athlete to notify the draw desk, within 30 minutes of their opening round defeat.
SHUTTLES – The official shuttle will be the YONEX AS 40 feather shuttle. Shuttles will be provided for all matches.
ENTRY FEE - $85.00 includes shuttles and merchandise prizes for consolation events. On line payment is requested at the time of on line registration.
ENTRY DEADLINE – Saskatchewan Badminton will be utilizing the Badminton Tournament Planner Software. You can enter online directly at http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/sport/tournament.aspx?id=3819FD29-C326-452D-9826-86D9CB7B44EC
The entry deadline is September 18th. No late entries will be accepted.
PRIZES - $6000 prize purse. Prize money will be paid to the top three placing in each event. A detailed prize purse breakdown will be provided on site. Merchandize prizes will be distributed to the consolation winners.
SEEDING – Seeding will be provided by Badminton Canada tournament seeding committee.
RULES – Colored clothing excepted. The 21- Rally Point scoring format will be utilized. Three minute warm up and ten minute default will be strictly enforced. The use of protective eyewear is strongly recommended during play.
HOTEL – The host hotel is the RAMADA hotel and Golf Dome. A special tournament rate of $109.00 (Standard room) will be available upon request. To ensure the tournament rate, all reservations must be made before September 18. Quote “Saskatchewan Badminton” when making your reservation.
